Kyrgyzstan’s team wins 4 medals at Asian Freestyle Wrestling Championship

The national team of Kyrgyzstan won four medals at the Asian Championship among juniors in freestyle wrestling. The United World Wrestling website reported.

The tournament was held on July 21 and July 22 in New Delhi (India). At least four out of eight Kyrgyzstanis won medals.

Ernazar Akmataliev defeated Kuanysh Duisenkul (Kazakhstan), Ikhtiyor Normurodov (Uzbekistan), Amirkhuseyn Azim Magsudi (Iran), lost to Takuma Taniyama (Japan) and won a silver medal in the weight category of 65 kg.

Almaz Smanbekov (57 kg), Dinislambek Taalaibek uulu (86 kg) and Kunai Nurdavletov (97 kg) won bronze medals.

Earlier, in the framework of the Asian Championship, Kyrgyzstanis also showed good results in the Greco-Roman wrestling among the women.
