The deputy of the Parliament Askarbek Shadiev will be deprived of his seat. The Central Election Commission informed 24.kg news agency.
According to the Deputy Chairman of CEC Abdyzhapar Bekmatov, the issue of depriving Askarbek Shadiev of his deputy powers should be discussed by the Parliament.
«If a deputy misses 30 working days without a good reason, the profile committee has the right to demand to deprive him of his deputy powers. The counting starts from September, that is, from the new session year,» explained Abdyzhapar Bekmatov.
Three criminal cases were opened against Askarbek Shadiev under the Articles of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. First, the Prosecutor General’s Office opened a criminal case on the abuse of office. The second case was opened for illegal crossing of the state border. Within the third criminal case, he is charged with money laundering.
Askarbek Shadiev fled the country and was put on the wanted list.
