Film Centaur included in longlist of Oscar award

The film Centaur directed by Aktan Arym Kubat was included in the longlist of Oscar award. The list was published on the official website of the award.

A record 92 countries have submitted films for consideration in the Foreign Language Film category for the 90^th Academy Awards.

Russia submitted the film Loveless by Andrey Zvyagintsev. The list also includes the movie by Angelina Jolie First They Killed my Father from Cambodia.

The academy will compose a shortlist from the shortlist, and on January 23, 2018, the nominees for the 90^th anniversary Oscar award ceremony will be announced. The ceremony itself will be held on March 4.
