Discovered in Kochkor archeological site - underground tomb

Discovered on the territory of Kochkor district, Naryn region, archaeological site turned out, according to preliminary data, to be an underground tomb. Professor of Manas University Kubatbek Tabaldiev told at a press conference.
According to him, the object itself was discovered 30 years ago, it was found by local residents when they dug a pit for haylage.
«For a long time, we could not find support, organizations that would help with the excavations. Researchers from Turkey responded to us and excavations began,» archaeologist Kubatbek Tabaldiev told.
According to him, the archaeological discovery turned out to be a kumbez (tomb) consisting of two rooms.
«The object is underground, even the dome is not visible from the ground, its length is 9 meters, width is 5 meters. Such objects were not studied in the territory of the KyrgyzRepublic before,» the archaeologist said.
