Kyrgyz film Father’s Will gets one more award

The Kyrgyz film Father’s Will gets one more award. The Union of Cinematographers of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

According to it, Yakut International Film Festival finished on September 10. The movie by Bakyt Mukul and Dastan Zhapar uulu Father’s Will, which was presented by producer Ermek Mukul, was screened in the main competition.

The production director of the film Akzhol Bekbolotov received the prize for the best camerawork.

The film tells about a young man Azat, who brings to Kyrgyzstan the body and testament of his father. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, his father had large debt and was forced to leave. Living in the US, he always wanted to be buried in his native land. The son paid off his father’s debts. Having arrived in Kyrgyzstan, Azat opens his homeland for himself.

Recall, the last film’s awards are three prizes at the Durban International Film Festival and two prizes at the International Lucania Festival in Italy.
