Foreigner planning transfer of Kyrgyz citizens to Middle East detained

A member of an international terrorist organization who planned to transfer people to zones of armed conflict in the Middle East was detained in Kyrgyzstan. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

According to it, the committee’s officers detained a citizen of one of the CIS countries, who was officially wanted for a number of crimes committed in his native country.

The detainee planned to stay in Kyrgyzstan to create a sustainable channel for the transfer of citizens of Central Asian countries to the countries of the Middle East.

He was handed over to representatives of the competent authorities of the partner country of Kyrgyzstan for further criminal prosecution.
