CEC should ensure rights of citizens in closed institutions

It is the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda that should ensure the rights of citizens who are in closed institutions, experts said at a meeting of CEC.

The founder of the legal company Precedent Nurbek Toktakunov said that he does not see any gaps in the law. «If the CEC members believe that there are gaps, then analogies of laws are applied, there are also international standards,» Klara Sooronkulova said.

You register candidates, but try to shift responsibility and can not ensure the rights of candidates. This concerns the passing of Kyrgyz language test.

In the opinion of Naryn Aiyp, the problem is not that «there is one or another law. It is, maybe, the question is whether it is executed.»

The situation, when politicians who are in jail, did not lose their right to be elected, formed for the first time in Kyrgyzstan. As the civil activist For Coalition and Civil Society Dinara Oshurakhunova said, the CEC should by discretionary decision ensure the electoral rights of candidates.
