A traveling exhibition «Museum of the Founding Fathers of the USA» has been opened at the National History Museum in Bishkek. The exhibition is dedicated to the history of the formation of the United States.
The exposition was organized jointly with the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan and is timed to coincide with the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence as part of the international Freedom 250 program.
The exhibition features 20 artworks dedicated to prominent American statesmen and key events in the formation of the United States.
U.S. Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Lesslie Viguerie noted that the country’s anniversary of independence provides an opportunity to reflect on shared history and enduring values.
«The 250th anniversary of America is a wonderful opportunity to study our shared history and reflect on timeless values: freedom, the right to self-determination, and the bold vision required to build something lasting. These values remain just as relevant today as they were in 1776,» the diplomat said.
The exhibition will run in Bishkek until June 28. It is also planned to be displayed in other locations across the country during 2026.
The Freedom 250 project is dedicated to key events in American history, including the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Organizers say the exhibition allows visitors to learn about the lives and work of the Founding Fathers of the United States and see how principles established 250 years ago—individual rights, the rule of law, and representative government—continue to influence the modern world.
