Incidence of brucellosis has almost doubled in Bishkek. Chief Doctor of the State Sanitary Epidemiological Supervision Center Artur Buyuklyanov told today at a press conference.
7 cases have been registered for 5 months of 2016, while 16 cased were already registered for the same period of 2017, including 1 case among children under 14 years old.
«This is a very dangerous disease, it can become chronic, which is extremely difficult to treat. People should not drink raw milk, it must be always boiled. There was a case when milk from a sick cow was brought to the capital from Kemin. 13 people got brucellosis. Often, dairy products are sold from cars. This is illegal," Artur Buyuklyanov said.
He noted that the incidence of tuberculosis, including among children, is also growing.
