326 settlements in Kyrgyzstan not switch to digital broadcasting

326 settlements have not yet switched to digital television broadcasting in Kyrgyzstan. The Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Ainura Temirbekova told today at a press conference.

According to her, there is a plan which specifies when each of 326 villages will switch to digital broadcasting.

«In May, the first batch of digital automatic television repeaters (65 units) has been delivered. Nine units have already been installed: six — in Osh, two — in Issyk-Kul and one — in Chui region. The remaining 56 are already on the way," Ainura Temirbekova said.

In addition, the second batch (75 repeaters) will arrive in June, and the third (71 repeaters) — in July. According to the official, all villages were informed about the time of switch to digital broadcasting.
