At least 120 million soms were allocated for strengthening of Chu River banks in 2017. The Minister of Emergency Situations Kubatbek Boronov told at a press conference.
Its left bank has 193 potentially hazardous areas with a total length of 65 kilometers.

«We plan to conduct shore protection works on 11 objects in 2017, drew up a master layout plan," the head of the ministry said.
He noted that works have already been started at two sites of Chu River bank.
