SRS switches to electronic forms in obtaining passports from March 1

«From March 1, the State Registration Service completely abandons the paper version of «Form 1,» which citizens filled in to obtain a passport," the head of Department of Population and Acts of Civil State Mukhabat Pratova said today at a press conference, where the agency presented a new version of the automated information system «Passport» and «Civil Registry Office.»

It is noted that seven kinds of acts of civil status have already been transferred to the automated system.

From April 2017, there were approved seven formats of forms in a test mode: certificates of birth, marriage, death, change of civil status, and so on, which will be filled in the electronic version, including all rural administrations, which were delegated authority for providing such services.
