On June 25, 2026, the Zhogorku Kenesh (the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan) concluded the first session of its 8th convocation.
According to Speaker Marlen Mamataliev, a total of 182 bills were introduced during the session. Of these, 145 were passed, and 94 have already been signed by the President.
The adopted bills included 115 from the Cabinet of Ministers, 23 from members of the Zhogorku Kenesh, 6 from the president, and 1 from the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Following the conclusion of the session, an orchestra performed the national anthem of Kyrgyzstan in the session hall.
The Zhogorku Kenesh will return to its work on September 1.
