Ularbek Ismailov appointed new Mayor of Manas city 

President Sadyr Japarov appointed Ularbek Ismailov Mayor of the city of Manas, Jalal-Abad region.

In this post, he replaced Abdupata Matkalikov, who was relieved of his post on June 18.

Ularbek Ismailov was appointed deputy mayor of Jalal-Abad in September 2024, and in March 2026 became the First Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in Jalal-Abad region.

The personnel decision was made a few days after the dismissal of the former mayor. Now Ismailov will lead the city of Manas, which until September 2025 was called Jalal-Abad.
