Total assets of Kyrgyzstan’s banking sector have increased by 28.6 percent since the beginning of 2026. At the end of April, they stood at 1,558.1 trillion soms.
According to the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, lending to the real sector of the economy and the population remained active. The bank’s client loan portfolio has grown by 12.4 percent since the beginning of the year, reaching 569.8 billion soms.
The total client deposit base demonstrated moderate but stable growth. Since the beginning of the year, deposits have increased by 6.7 percent, reaching 924.1 billion soms.
As of April 30, 2026, there were 24 commercial banks and 306 their branches operating in Kyrgyzstan.
