More than 440,000 children in Kyrgyzstan will receive Bala Yrysy allowance. Aida Azhikhodzhoeva, head of the department, announced at a meeting at the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration.
According to her, applications for the allowance can be submitted starting July 1 through the regional offices of the Ministry of Labor or Tunduk mobile app if you have digital documents. If you don’t have such documents, you can contact the Public Service Centers.
«Employees of the district offices of the Ministry of Labor are undergoing training on how to administer the allowance. We will send instructions to everyone,» Aida Azhikhodzhoeva said.
She noted that the allowance may be denied to children over three years old, in the event of the child’s death, or if the child moves abroad for permanent residence.
Minister of Labor Kanat Sagynbaev emphasized the importance of the first 1,000 days of life for a child’s physical and mental development and, in this regard, noted the timeliness of introducing the new payment.
The allowance will be assigned from the moment the child is born and paid monthly until they reach the age of three—1,200 soms per child.
When applying to the territorial offices, the applicant has to provide a copy of the parent’s or other applicant’s passport indicating their personal identification number (PIN), as well as the child’s birth certificate. For residents of high-mountain, hard-to-reach settlements and certain border territories with special status, an additional requirement is provided: it is necessary to provide information on registration at the place of residence, confirming permanent residence in such settlements.
