President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed a decree awarding several religious figures with state awards for their contributions to the development of the country’s spiritual potential and the implementation of state policy in the religious sphere.
The awards were timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the National Agency for Religious Affairs and Interethnic Relations.
The Dank Order was awarded to Azireti Mufti of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, Abdulaziz Zakirov, and Chairman of the Ulema Council of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, Zamir Rakiev.
The Ardak Medal was awarded to Yrysbai Akhunbaev, Director of Kolmo Madrasah theological educational institution; Mars Ibraev, member of the Ulema Council; Jeenbek Tashtanov, founder of the Jusup Balasagyn Religious Islamic Organization; and Srazhidin Tuyakov, a teacher at the Abdullah ibne Masood madrasah.
As the presidential press service noted, the awards were presented for significant contributions to the development of the republic’s spiritual potential, strengthening moral values, and implementing state policy in the religious sphere.
