A Consulate of Kyrgyzstan has been opened in the Belgian city of Lasne, the Foreign Ministry’s press service reported.
This is the second Honorary Consulate of Kyrgyzstan in Belgium, with the first operating in Flanders.
Consul Gaudissart was presented with official Kyrgyz state insignia and materials for the consular office.
«The opening of the consulate in Wallonia marks another step in the development of bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Belgium,» the statement says.
Wallonia is one of Belgium’s three official regions, located in the southern part of the country.
