New office of Honorary Consulate of Kyrgyzstan in Romania opened in Bucharest

A new office of the Honorary Consulate of Kyrgyzstan in Romania was opened in Bucharest. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

The event was held in the King Carol I Reception Hall of the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Romania (with residence in Kiev) Idris Kadyrkulov, Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic Iuliu Stoklosa and Consul of Kyrgyzstan Esen Aksamaev.

Iuliu Stoklosa emphasized the importance of the Consulate as a bridge between the countries, noting the record growth of bilateral trade in 2024 to $67.1 million. He also expressed readiness to continue efforts to strengthen business and cultural cooperation.

Idris Kadyrkulov noted that the opening of the new office creates additional opportunities for expanding bilateral ties in the fields of trade, education, culture and green energy. The role of the Kyrgyz diaspora in strengthening partnership was separately emphasized.

The office provides citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic with a wide range of consular and legal services.
