Kyrgyzstan is demonstrating export growth, using its geographical location and developing key sectors of the economy. Igor Golubev, Deputy Chairman of the Association of International Cargo Carriers, reported.
«We border China and thanks to this, we are starting to actively export and re-export goods. Manufacturing and the clothing industry are growing in the country,» he noted.
According to the Deputy Head of the Association, development of e-commerce allows Kyrgyz manufacturers to enter international platforms such as Wildberries and Ozon.
Igor Golubev emphasized that some Kyrgyz goods — perishable goods and dried fruits — are exported even to Europe. This contributes to the growth of demand for logistics services in the republic. «This year, conditions have been improved and some barriers have been removed. There are fewer problems in relations with neighboring states than last year,» he added.
The Deputy Chairman of the Association of International Cargo Carriers reported that the number of exporting companies in the Kyrgyz Republic will increase in the future. He suggested that a large exhibition center could be built in the country with government support.
