The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan predicts an improvement in the net export of goods and services by 2027. The draft republican budget for 2025 and the planning period 2026-2027 says.
In order to expand export markets by strengthening free access of domestic products to world markets, the Cabinet of Ministers plans to intensify the work of foreign missions using economic diplomacy tools to promote the country’s trade and economic interests.
The Cabinet of Ministers also intends to more actively use the country’s membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO).
«Foreign economic activity will focus on maximizing the use of additional trade preferences provided by the Generalized System of Preferences, ensuring predictability of access to foreign markets and eliminating trade discrimination,» the explanatory note to the draft budget says.
In order to increase the country’s export potential, the Cabinet intends to address issues of simplicity, convenience and speed of foreign trade operations carried out by participants in foreign economic activity and take measures aimed at reducing the number of procedures, time and material costs in export-import operations. The plans include joint creation with partners of free trade zones between the EAEU and third countries.
Taking this into account, the Cabinet plans that the export of goods from Kyrgyzstan in 2027 will grow to $3,735 billion.
