According to him, 1,792 million tons of garbage were removed in the country in 2023. For comparison, in 2019 this figure was about 1,177 million tons of garbage.

«It turns out that 279 kilograms of garbage were produced per capita last year,» Almaz Oskonbaev said.

Director of the Bishkek sanitary landfill Nurlan Dzhumaliev noted that about 200 tons of waste from the capital and new-built quarters are stored at the landfill every day. According to him, it is necessary to make a decision to reduce the costs associated with garbage sorting.

The importance of recycling household waste was noted.
