Two citizens of Kyrgyzstan have been convicted in Mordovia of attempting to illegally sell drugs. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic reports.
It was found out during investigation that the Kyrgyzstanis purchased a wholesale batch of heroin, methadone, and mephedrone in Moscow Oblast. Having taken the drugs from the cache, the accomplices packaged them, organizing several stashes in the capital of Russia.
Then the criminals came to Saransk, where they made 25 stashes with prohibited substances in Leninsky district. Then they intended to go to another district to commit similar crimes, but were detained by officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Mordovia.
In total, as part of the activities, the police found and seized more than 150 packages with prohibited substances with a total weight of over 130 grams.
The detainees were taken into custody.
The court sentenced them to 13 years and 11.5 years in prison, respectively, to be served in a strict regime prison colony.
