As part of the program of the Eurasian Economic Forum 2024, the winners and finalists of the second International Climate Competition Green Eurasia were awarded, organized by the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects.
Members of the EEC Council took part in the ceremony.
The winners and finalists of the competition in 15 different nominations are 57 best climate practices from the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Indonesia, and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In 2024, more than 300 practices from 12 countries, including China, Egypt, Iran, Indonesia, Cameroon, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan were submitted to the competition.
Creation of the Center for Climate Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic took second place in the nomination «Climate Finance».
