Adherents of Yakyn Inkar detained in Jalal-Abad

Six adherents of the religious extremist movement Yakyn Inkar were detained in Jalal-Abad city and in Suzak district. The press center of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (SCNS) reported.

According to it, more than a kilogram of drugs was confiscated from one of them during a search.

«As part of a criminal case, SCNS officers detained six adherents of the religious extremist movement Yakyn Inkar, banned in Kyrgyzstan. They actively promoted extremist ideology in Jalal-Abad city and Suzak district,» the statement says.

During a search in the houses of the detainees, security officers found a large amount of extremist literature, leaflets with extremist materials, 842 grams of hashish and 286 grams of marijuana. The investigators established that the citizens were recruiting local residents into their ranks. All of them were placed in the pre-trial detention center of the SCNS.
