A girl was kidnapped for marriage in Issyk-Kul region. The regional police department reported.
On November 23, police department of Bosteri village received a statement from a 20-year-old resident of Issyk-Kul region. She reported that on the same daythree unknown people in Audi car abducted her by force for marriage in Korumdu village.
The application was registered at the Department of Internal Affairs of Issyk-Kul region.
Natives of Korumdu village were detained. They were taken to the police department of Bosteri village, where they admitted their guilt during preliminary interrogation.
A criminal case was initiated on Article 172 (kidnapping of a person for the purpose of marriage) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
By decision of the Issyk-Kul District Court, a preventive measure was chosen against the suspects in the form of detention for 30 days.
An investigation is underway.
