The President of Kyrgyzstan held talks with his Azerbaijani counterpart. The press service of the head of state reported.
Ilham Aliyev noted that issues of increasing trade turnover, investment policy and a number of other pressing issues aimed at the benefit of the two states are being resolved today.
He added that he is looking forward to Sadyr Japarov’s state visit to Azerbaijan next year.
In turn, the President of Kyrgyzstan noted that two high-level visits took place last year. An Interstate Council was formed at the level of heads of state, and its first meeting took place. A number of agreements reached during mutual visits in 2022 got practical dynamics.
Sadyr Japarov recalled that during the state visit of Ilham Aliyev to Kyrgyzstan in October last year, the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund was created. Work is now underway to finalize organizational, legal and financial issues. He proposed to speed up the practical launch of the Fund’s activity and start implementation of projects in which both sides are interested.
