The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan suspended issuance of fishing industry documents for fishing in Issyk-Kul and Son-Kul lakes. The decree signed on November 15 says.
The decision was made to preserve and increase fish stocks in fishery reservoirs temporarily, for three years. The exception is fishing for artificial reproduction of fish stocks, research activities, ichthyological monitoring of the state of aquatic biological resources, as well as organized forms of recreational and sport fishing.
The Department of Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture has been given a corresponding instruction. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is instructed to provide all possible assistance to the authorized state body in the field of environmental protection in the work to suppress cases of poaching in Issyk-Kul and Son-Kul lakes.
