The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), in order to protect children from toys that negatively affect their mental health, adopted a recommendation on the protection of children and adolescents from information harmful to their health and development. Press service of the EEC reported.

Armenia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan were recommended to consider the possibility of inclusion in their legislation a model law on the protection of children from information harmful to their health and development. In addition, all EAEU countries were recommended to consider the expediency of applying the concept of «information products» to board games, as well as other products intended for children and adolescents, which may contain images harmful to their health and development.

It was also decided to make amendments to the technical regulations of the Customs Union «On the safety of toys». They will provide for the possibility of establishing minimum requirements for toys in terms of protecting children from their negative influence.
