Inflow of remittances to Kyrgyzstan decreases by $47.6 million for month

In November 2022, migrants transferred $239.3 million to Kyrgyzstan, which is $47.6 million less than a month earlier. The National Bank provided such data.

In total, in January — November, compatriots transferred $2,737.8 billion to the country. This is $220,8 million more than in 2021. Russia accounts for more than 97 percent of remittances — $2,605.8 billion. At least $50.4 million was transferred to the Kyrgyz Republic from other states, and $50.9 million — from the USA.

According to the results of November, there was also an outflow of funds of $142.8 million. The main part of the money was transferred to Russia ($84.7 million) and Turkey ($48.6 million). The outflow for 11 months is estimated at $1,082.5 billion. This is two times more than in 2021.

The net inflow of remittances to Kyrgyzstan in January — November reached $1,655.3 billion. This is $359.7 million less than in 2021.

At year-end 2021, the volume of money transfers to the republic was $2,756.24 billion. At least $562.77 million was transferred from the Kyrgyz Republic to other countries. Net inflow reached $2,193.47 billion.
