A member of an organized crime group was detained for car theft in Batken. Press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of the region reported.
According to the department, a resident of Kyzyl-Kiya city turned to the police on December 27 and told that a Volkswagen Polo car had been stolen from him near a cafe at about 11 p.m.
The fact was registered under article 211 «Theft of a motor vehicle». Pre-trial proceedings have begun.
During investigative measures, a 29-year-old previously convicted man was detained, who is registered with the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a member of an organized crime group.
The suspect was placed in a detention center. The investigation continues.
