Documentation is being prepared for the development of previously mothballed coal deposits. Kyrgyzkomur state enterprise informed 24.kg news agency.
These are Agulak site of Min-Kush deposit with balance reserves of more than 69 million tons of coal and Sulukta — field 11 site of Sulukta brown coal deposit with balance reserves of 114 million tons. To date, the design organization has completed drafting of a project for the open mining of coal seams at Agulak site. An appropriate expert opinion has been received from the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision.
Kyrgyzkomur state enterprise from November 2022 began to develop Agulak site of Min-Kush brown coal deposit.
In addition, the company received a license for the right to use subsoil to develop Vostochny and Zapadny sections of Kara-Keche field. An agreement was signed for drawing up a project for the development and extraction of coal in these areas by open-pit technique.
«The issue has been worked out with the financial and credit fund under the Ministry of Finance on leasing additional 100 units of vehicles for transporting coal. The Ministry of Energy has initiated a corresponding draft decree of the Cabinet. The supplier of equipment has already been found. After signing of the relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, a tripartite agreement will be concluded for its receipt,» Kyrgyzkomur said.
