OSCE Ambassadors to arrive in Kyrgyzstan on working visit

The Permanent Representatives of Great Britain, Germany, the USA and France to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) will arrive in Kyrgyzstan as part of their regional tour of Central Asia. The UK Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The group consists of Ambassadors Neil Bush (UK), Gesa Bräutigam (Germany), Michael Carpenter (USA) and Christine Fages (France). As part of the tour, they have already visited Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

During their visit to Kyrgyzstan, they will meet with the Foreign and Interior Ministers, visit the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek, and the OSCE Academy. In addition, the Ambassadors will visit the dog training center of the State Customs Service, supported by the Organization.

The Ambassadors will also meet with representatives of civil society in Kyrgyzstan.

«Central Asia is an important region for us, which is why we travel here in the «Quartet format». We will meet with representatives of civil society, we will see projects at the local level, we will meet with government officials. We will once again emphasize the importance of joint work, discuss the activities of the OSCE and security issues in all priority areas of the organization’s work,» the diplomats said in a joint statement ahead of the visit.
