Sadyr Japarov decides to raise pensions from October 1

The size of pensions will be increased in Kyrgyzstan from October 1, 2022. The President of the country announced on his Facebook page.

«On my instructions, the Cabinet of Ministers raised pensions from October 1. To date, there are about 735,000 pensioners throughout the republic. At least 70 billion soms are provided for the payment of pensions annually. From now on, we will allocate 90 billion from the republican budget for these purposes every year,» Sadyr Japarov wrote.

According to him, earlier, pensions were increased by only 200-300 soms. Now the authorities decided to raise pensions across the country by 1,700 — 3,400 soms on average.

«We know that this is far from ideal. But, based on today’s budget possibilities, we are doing everything to improve the life of our citizens. The social policy of the state will continue to be aimed at improving the quality of life and well-being of the people of Kyrgyzstan,» the head of state concluded.

Earlier, the Social Fund informed about plans to almost double the basic part of the pensions from October 1.
