The draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan on approval of the procedure for payment and size of toll for the passage of vehicles through tunnels on Bishkek — Osh road was withdrawn. The Ministry of Transport and Roads reported.
The decision was made due to the dissatisfaction expressed by citizens on social media. The ministry promises to present a new document later, which will be prepared taking into account public opinion and will be worked out in more detail.
Earlier, the Ministry of Transport proposed to approve a new payment procedure and tolls for the passage of vehicles through tunnels on Bishkek — Osh road. The ministry believes that toll is necessary for the maintenance and operation of the tunnels. Its size will be different for domestic and foreign vehicles.
