A special fund may be created in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to support youth initiatives. Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, came up with this idea at the opening of Kelechek (Future) Youth Forum of the CIS and EAEU.
According to him, the fund could have regional offices and provide consulting, educational and other services free of charge, provide organizational and legal support to youth integration projects.
The Head of the EEC Board also recalled that the strategic directions for the development of Eurasian economic integration until 2025 provide for the wide involvement of the public in the processes of Eurasian integration. At the same time, young people under the age of 30 make up one fifth of the population of the EAEU countries and find their rightful place in the implementation of important tasks of the socio-economic development of the Union.
«In order to create communication channels, we plan to create a «single window» in the EEC for prompt consideration of applications from the youth, support for young entrepreneurs, specialists and students. The Commission also seeks to create additional opportunities for working youth. The unified system «Work without Borders» began to work last year. To date, there are more than 500,000 vacancies in the database. Youth is given a big role in development of further directions for the development of the Eurasian Economic Union. And it is right. By participating in the union building, you create living conditions for yourself,» Mikhail Myasnikovich concluded.
