Heavy rains flood houses of residents in Jalal-Abad region

Heavy rains flooded the houses of residents of Jalal-Abad region.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as a result of heavy rains, 17 residential buildings, courtyards, basements of multi-storey buildings, five public and three private facilities were flooded.

At least 50 rescuers were involved in the clearing, water accumulated from mudflows was pumped out overnight.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations also received information about an increase in the water level in Kara- Rivere river. The floods flooded the cultivated areas near the airport.

As the ministry reported, due to unstable weather and expected local heavy rains in the foothills and mountainous areas, mudflows are possible, and the water level in the rivers is expected to rise on May 30.
