Exercises of Su-25 attack aircraft crews of the joint Russian military base Kant took place in Kyrgyzstan, during which the positions of a simulated enemy were destroyed by a missile air strike. REGNUM reported with reference to the press service of the Central Military District of Russia.
During the air raid, Russian attack aircraft launched S-8 unguided air-to-surface missiles, acting as combat pairs. The crews of the Su-25 received the coordinates of the enemy field camp, performed double takeoffs from the Russian military airfield in Kyrgyzstan and practiced continuous missile strikes.
The Su-25 pilots carried out a covert approach to the area of combat use from various directions, acted at low and medium altitudes.
Launches of unguided rockets were carried out from a dive from a height from 1,500 to 2,500 meters.
The exercises were held at the Edelweiss mountain range in Issyk-Kul region. They were attended by about 100 military personnel from among the flight, engineering and support staff. Ten Su-25 attack aircraft were involved in the exercises.
