If the work is done correctly, small aircraft system in Kyrgyzstan can be restored in 2-3 years. The head of the Civil Aviation Department Alexander Nastayev announced at a meeting with the heads of airlines in Bishkek.
«The recent events, I am talking about the border conflict in Batken, have shown how important it is to establish domestic air service. In fact, Isfana was cut off and, possibly, there was only air traffic. We are considering the possibility of connecting all regions of Kyrgyzstan through restoration of regional airports. To date, there are 12 airlines in the country, but none of them is dealing with small aircraft sector. For the interest of private business in this area, we are working on issues of tax incentives, personnel training,» he said.
Reorganization of civil aviation management bodies and measures to develop air communications in the Kyrgyz Republic were discussed today at the Civil Aviation Department with the participation of the heads of airlines.
