A delegation from Kyrgyzstan, led by Acting Director of the State Civil Aviation Agency Daniyar Bostonov, held a series of meetings with the management of the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport of the European Commission (DG Move EU) in Brussels. The main topic of discussion was the country’s progress in withdrawal from the EU aviation blacklist. The state agency reported.
Daniyar Bostonov presented a report and presentation on the measures taken to improve flight safety in the Kyrgyz Republic to his European colleagues. The results of the implementation of new safety programs, advanced training of inspectors, updating the material and technical base, improving the inspector staff and internal safety standards are noted in the document. New regulatory documents and plans to eliminate previously detected deficiencies were demonstrated.
In addition, the possibility of providing the Kyrgyz Republic with consulting assistance from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), funded by the European Union, was discussed during the meeting. If approved by the committee, EASA specialists are expected to arrive to provide support in early 2025, which will further accelerate the process of withdrawal of Kyrgyzstan from the blacklist and strengthen cooperation in the field of aviation safety.
