Supporters of the detained Ravshan Dzheenbekov, Farid Niyazov and Zhenish Moldokmatov hold a rally near the building of the Pervomaisky District Court in Bishkek. Kunduz Dzholdubaeva informed 24.kg news agency.
«We hold the rally demanding equality before the law. Asylbek Jeenbekov and Torobai Zulpukarov were released the day before. Earlier, a lawyer Zamir Zhooshev applied to change the measure of restraint against Ravshan Dzheenbekov, but the request was denied. Although, according to the new Criminal Procedure Code and the Criminal Code, it is not allowed to keep a person in a pre-trial detention center without a court decision for more than a year,» Kunduz Dzholdubaeva said.
Ravshan Dzheenbekov, together with the former head of state Almazbek Atambayev and his other associates, is a defendant in a criminal case on Koi-Tash events.
Former presidential adviser Farid Niyazov and the leader of Turan party Zhenish Moldokmatov are defendants in the criminal case on October 2020 riots.
