Rally against ex-judge held near City Court building in Bishkek

Rally against the former judge of Alamedinsky District Court Emil Mamytov is held in Bishkek near the building of the City Court.

According to the protesters, a trial was to be held today to change the measure of restraint for the detainee. However, it did not take place because the lawyer of Emil Mamytov fell ill.

The protesters are also outraged that the former judge, while working at the Military Court, undeservedly received the rank of lieutenant colonel.

«Emil Mamytov receives his pension as a military pensioner. After working at the Military Court for several years, he has the rank of lieutenant colonel. That is, he was sitting in a warm office, while people fought during the Batken events. He was awarded the rank ahead of schedule. Where’s the justice?» Radzhap Abdyrasulov said.

The ex-judge of Alamedinsky District Court Emil Mamytov was detained in October. He is suspected of fraud. By a court decision, Emil Mamytov was placed in the detention center 1 of the capital.
