Almazbek Atambayev’s supporter Alga Kylychev testified against the former president. Lawyer Zamir Jooshev told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, investigators possibly concluded a cooperation agreement with Alga Kylychev.
«He states that Almazbek Atambayev allegedly wanted to seize power and arrange a coup. He testified against the SDPK members Kunduz Zholdubaeva, Amantur Zhamgyrchiev, Meerbek Miskenbaev and Atambayev’s bodyguard Kanat Sagymbaev. According to Alga Kylychev, these people organized riots and took hostages,» said Zamir Jooshev.
Almazbek Atambayev is accused of particularly serious crimes: violence against law enforcement officers, murder, hostage taking, riots, corruption. He will be kept in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security until October 26.
