Health Alley appeared in Bishkek on the eve of the World Health Day. Representatives of the Ministry of Health, the WHO Representative Office, international and public organizations planted maples near Duboviy (Oak) Park.
Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Erkin Checheybaev told that within the framework of the World Health Day various campaigns, flash mobs, sports events in cities, regional and district centers were held in the republic.
«The Ministry of Health alone cannot improve the health of the population; treatment of the patients does not mean improvement of the health of the society. We appealed to ministries and departments to pay attention to the health of employees: take part in sports and other events that are dedicated to this day. It is important to draw attention to the preservation of health,» he said.
Erkin Checheybaev added that the issue of air quality in Kyrgyzstan was acute in these days.
«We are aware that not only by educational activities we can improve people’s health, by the words «stop smoking and drinking,» we must create an appropriate environment for citizens,» he noted.
