They can check themselves on the website of the migration service and legalize their stay without leaving the Russian Federation. To do this, before April 22, a migrant must come to any district office of the Main Directorate for Migration Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia with an identity document and get a new migration card. Then it is necessary to register within 30 days,» he told.
Other 131,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan, staying on the territory of Russia, were also included in the amnesty.
«These are migrants who have delayed their stay in Russia and committed minor administrative violations. They can now legalize their stay in the Russian Federation too,» said Samat Toktobolotov.
According to the Migration Service, there are 643,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Russia.
