2019 will be declared the Year of Development of Regions and Digitalization of the country. Sooronbai Jeenbekov, the President of Kyrgyzstan, said this today at a meeting with residents of Sokuluk district of Chui region. The President of Kyrgyzstan began his first working trip in 2019 with this region.
The head of state recalled that 2018 was the Year of Regional Development and the main activity was aimed at the development of regions, creation of new jobs, favorable conditions for the development of entrepreneurship in rural areas.
The presidential press service noted that in order to support rural entrepreneurs, new enterprises were exempted from inspections by supervisory authorities for three years, a moratorium was introduced on unreasonable business inspections, new laboratories were built to certify and standardize products, significant tax relief was granted to local enterprises engaged in agricultural processing, funding of agriculture was improved.
All these and other measures made it possible in 2018 to provide more than 2,500 people with jobs, more than 200 new enterprises were opened that process, store and sort agricultural products, as well as in the field of textile-garment and building production.
As Sooronbai Jeenbekov noted, the development of the regions would not stop, but would be strengthened and would remain a priority direction of state policy in the coming years.
Sooronbai Jeenbekov announced 2019 the Year of Regional Development and Digitalization of the Сountry in order to further develop the regions and introduce new technologies into the daily life of society.
He stressed that it was necessary to give impetus to the pace of development using new technologies on a national scale in the subsequent years.
«The digitization of society is a requirement of the day. This will open up new opportunities for our citizens. The human factor in the provision of public services will be excluded, which will contribute to the eradication of corrupt elements,» the President stressed.
Digital technologies will penetrate into all spheres of life — education, medicine, business, tourism. Digital infrastructure will be introduced in the work of the judiciary and law enforcement agencies on a priority basis. Safe City project and Safe Road Traffic project will be implemented without fail.
The head of state noted that 189 public services would switch to digital format through Tunduk electronic system. Citizens will not have to knock on the various doors of government agencies for one or another certificate, the official will look for all the necessary information themselves. This applies to all spheres of life, including obtaining certificates of good conduct, retirement, «suyunchu» for a child, allowances, obtaining a passport, driver’s license, civil acts, registration of vehicles.
«Digital infrastructure will at times reduce direct contact of citizens with officials, which is the main tool for eradicating corruption. In 2019, the creation of digital bases for the development of the country should be a priority of state policy. Exactly for these purposes it was decided to declare 2019 the Year of Development of the Regions and Digitalization of the Country. I will sign the corresponding decree this week,» Sooronbai Jeenbekov said.
