President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov presented state awards to diplomats and representatives of the aviation industry in Cholpon-Ata. The presidential press service reported.
For their work promoting Kyrgyzstan’s candidacy for the UN Security Council, the following people were awarded:
- Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev — the Manas Order, 3rd degree;
- First Deputy Foreign Minister Asein Isaev and Permanent Representative of Kyrgyzstan to the UN in New York Aida Kasymalieva — the Dank Order;
- Counselor of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Ethiopia Mohamed Lou — the Ardak Medal;
- Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Ethiopia Adylbek Tultemirov;
- Meder Utebaev, Advisor to the Permanent Mission of Kyrgyzstan to the UN in New York.
The following people were awarded for their contribution to Kyrgyzstan’s removal from the EU aviation safety list:
- Daniyar Bostonov, Director of the State Civil Aviation Agency — the Manas Order, 3rd degree;
- Manasbek Samidinov, Head of Airports of Kyrgyzstan OJSC;
- Kunduz Iskenderbekova, Chief Expert of the Presidential Administration — the Dank Order.
A number of diplomats, civil servants, and representatives of the aviation industry also received commendations from the President. Several officials were awarded diplomatic ranks.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, Sadyr Japarov noted that Kyrgyzstan’s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and its official removal from the EU’s «blacklist» are watershed events that have raised the international prestige of the Kyrgyz state to a new level and have the potential to change the country’s future.
