Former driver of Aleksey Shirshov, Talantbek Iminov, was appointed Development Director of Dastan TNC. The information was confirmed by the company, noting that the personnel reshuffle occurred as far back as in the fall.
Recall, Aleksey Shirshov was the Minister of Energy and a close friend of Maxim Bakiyev during the reign of Kurmanbek Bakiyev. He is called an author of many corruption schemes in the energy industry.
Talantbek Iminov had been Aleksey Shirshov’s personal driver until April 7, 2010. After the change of power in the country, Aleksey Shirshov left Kyrgyzstan.
In July 2018, the State Committee for National Security detained Yuriy Vasilyev, Chairman of the Board of Dastan TNC, within the case on the sale of 100 percent of shares of Solnechniy Bereg resort at understated price.
A few days later, a former mayor of Bishkek, Albek Ibraimov, was detained within a criminal case on the embezzlement of funds in a particularly large scale. According to investigators, in 2012, when violations occurred, he was the Chairman of the Board of Dastan TNC. The former mayor was charged under the articles corruption and fraud of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
