A 21-year-old citizen of Kyrgyzstan, wanted for involvement in terrorist activities, was detained in the republic. The press center of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
According to it, the man underwent subversive and combat training and a special course of a suicide bomber as a member of an international terrorist organization (ITO), and also took an active part in an armed conflict against Syrian government troops.
Following the order of MTO leaders, the detainee arrived in Kyrgyzstan to carry out planned terrorist attacks in the republic.
The investigative bodies of the State Committee for National Security initiated criminal proceedings under Articles 226-4 (participation of a Kyrgyz citizen in armed conflicts or military actions in the territory of a foreign state or the passage of terrorist and extremist training) and 299-1 (organized activities aimed at inciting ethnic, religious or inter-regional hatred) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The detainee was placed in the pretrial detention center of the SCNS. The investigation is under way.
Recall, a militant, preparing «armed jihad» in the country, was detained the day before.
