Wrestlers from Kyrgyzstan win 2 medals at tournament in Turkey

Kyrgyzstanis won two medals at the International Greco-Roman Wrestling Tournament. The United World Wrestling reported.

Vehbi Emre & Hamit Kaplan tournament took place in Istanbul on July 20-22. Athletes competed in ten weight categories.

Kaly Sulaimanov defeated Onur Atalay, Abdurahman Altan (both from Turkey) in 63 kg weight category, lost to Talekh Mammadov (Azerbaijan), defeated Dmitro Tsymbalyuk (Ukraine) and won bronze medal.

In 130 kg category, Murat Ramonov lost to Kirill Khryschanka (Belarus), defeated Mansur Shadukaev (Kazakhstan) and Mantas Knystautas (Lithuania) and also won bronze medal.

Eleven other Kyrgyz citizens remained without medals in their weight categories.

This tournament was a stage of preparation for the upcoming Asian Games for the national team of the Kyrgyz Republic.
